    Grandall Opens New Offices at Fuzhou, Xi'an, Nanjing and Paris

    March 31, 2012 - Beijing, China - Grandall Law Firm is pleased to announce the opening of its new addition of offices at Fuzhou, Xi'an, Nanjing and Paris, in an attempt to further enhance the firm's local territorial strength within the mainland market as well as the firm's international presence. With the latest expansion, Grandall now has 13 offices in different major cities facilitating its role as one of the leading Chinese law firms with better capacity to provide wider jurisdictional coverage of legal services to its wide client-base.

    Grandall Fuzhou Office

    Fuzhou lies in the eastern coast of the Fujian Province in the downstream plain of Min River. The city faces Taiwan across the water to the east, neighbouring Hong Kong, Macao, the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta, converging the two economic zones. Fuzhou is also a connecting city with several other large cities such as Xiamen, Quanzhou, Wenzhou and Shantou, which collectively played a significant role in its open market policy, coordinated development with all-round prosperity regional economic communities. In accordance with the opinion issued by the State Council on "Supporting Fujian Province to Speed Up the Construction of the West Coast of the Strait Economic Zone" dated May 6, 2009, it was clearly stated the importance for the establishment of the West Coast Economic Zone. Fuzhou is situated directly at the hub of the West Coast Economic Zone, as such, the timely establishment of Grandall Fuzhou Office provides the firm the opportunity to seize this historic opportunity to explore a new path to a geo-economic interests of regional economic communities in the form of legal services.

    Grandall Fuzhou Office is established on the basis of the former Fujian Haochen Law Firm, which was first set up in March 2000, engaging predominantly in the practice areas of banking and finance, real estate and construction, foreign investments and corporate commercial matters. The key partners in-charge of our Fuzhou Office, including Mr. Hua Ming, Mr. Chen Guibin and Mr. Tan Mulin, have had extensive experience in the above-mentioned key practices.

    Grandall Xi'an Office

    Xi'an is one of the world-renowned ancient capitals and widely regarded as one of the greatest civilizations of China's seven regional cities. Xi'an is also well known for being the Asian knowledge and technology innovation center, sits within the New Eurasian Land Bridge (or more popularly known as the Second Eurasian Continental Bridge) and the Yellow River Basin, China's large aircraft manufacturing base, Central and Western regions of China's largest and most important scientific research, higher education, defense technology industry and high-tech industrial centers. In 2009, the State Council issued the "Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone Development Plan" which listed Xi'an as the third China International Metropolis, after Beijing and Shanghai. It now fulfills the wishes of Grandall to achieve the long desired ambition to have offices in all the three major International Metropolis in China. 

    Grandall Xi’an Office is specialized in reorganization, securities, M&A, restructure, bankrupt and acting as perennial counsel for varied companies. Mr. Liu Fengyun, key partner of Xi’an Office, is the member of provisional commission of Xi’an Lawyers’ Association, arbitrator of Xi’an Arbitration Commission and executive council of the Association’s Constitution of Shaanxi Experts and Entrepreneurs. He has been offering legal services for various companies on their restructure, reorganization and listing. 

    Grandall Nanjing Office

    Nanjing is an important industrial city and economic center of the lower reach of the Yangtze River Delta, being one of the most important cultural and educational centers of China, as well as the transportation hubs of East China, and has the name for "door of the east and west, throat of the south and north." Being the capital city of Jiangsu Province - one of the most economically developed provinces in China, Jiangsu has a large base of small and medium-sized enterprises, the demand for financing is relatively large. The presence of Grandall in Nanjing may serve as a platform for Grandall to play a more meaningful role, particularly in the domestic capital market and corporate finance, through mergers and acquisitions activities, financing, and enhance the growth of local businesses in the nationwide or even international market share.

    The foundation of Grandall Paris Office is based upon a strategic cooperative agreement concluded by and between Grandall and Cabinet d'avocats Tao SUN and the approval from Paris Lawyer Association. Mr. Sun Tao, the leader of Paris Office, is the director of European Alumni Association of Renmin University of China, deputy director of FéDéRation Des Associations Des etuDiants et Des PROFessionnels Chinois en France, the Secretary General of AVOCATS D’ORIGINE CHINOISE DE FRANCE, researcher of Research Center of Economic Law, Renmin University of China, guest professor of Law School of Harbin Institute of Technology and lecturer of UNIVERSITE d’AIX – MARSEILLE III. Mr. Sun has acted as the director of in-house legal department for Huawei Technologies and involved in the foundation of overseas legal management for Chinese company. The core business of Mr. Sun and his team cover foreign investments by Chinese companies to France, international transaction and multinational M&A transactions.
