On 23 to 24 June, the high-level consultation conference themed “China (Hainan) Free Trade Port Dual Circulation and New Pattern of Opening to the World”, hosted by Hainan Provincial People's Government and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and co-organized by CASS-RDI, was held in Haikou, Hainan Province.

FENG Fei (deputy secretary of Hainan Provincial Party Committee and governor), HU Guanghui (deputy secretary of the Party Group and deputy director of the Standing Committee of Hainan Provincial People's Congress), NI Qiang (governor of Hainan Provincial People's Government), LI Guoliang (deputy secretary of the Party Group and vice chairman of Hainan Provincial People's Political Consultative Conference) and other leaders attended the conference. 

ZHAO Baige, chairman of the Advisory Committee of the "Belt and Road" Initiative International Think Tank affiliated to CASS, and chairman of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI, presided over the high-level consultation. She said that the experts present made a series of theoretical and practical suggestions on Hainan's opening to the outside world, international situation, new technology revolution, regional development, carbon neutrality, talents, tourism and digital economy, etc.; CASS-RDI will continue to pay attention to Hainan, the hot land, and gather all kinds of resources to help Hainan carry out the construction of free trade port with high quality.

HUANG Qifan (former mayor of Chongqing and co-chairman of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI), CHI Fulin (president of China Institute for Reform and Development, and member of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI), LI Lihui (former president of Bank of China and member of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI); ZHOU Mingwei (former director of China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and member of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI), and WANG Junli (former deputy commander of People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in Hong Kong, vice chairman of China Reform and Opening Forum and member of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI), attended the conference and delivered speeches thereon. 

LV Hongbing, member of the Advisory Committee of CASS-RDI and chief executive partner of Grandall Law Firm, delivered a keynote speech themed "Building a High-level Free Trade Port with Chinese characteristics" at the Seminar on "International Business Environment and High Quality Development of Hainan Free Trade Port".
