On June 5, 2017, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India commenced an anti-dumping investigation against industrial filament of 1000 Deniers or above originating from China. As retained by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel and other six exporters, a team of Grandall lawyers led by Ms. Dora Hu, partner of Grandall Beijing, advised this case and pleaded no injury to the Indian industry. Meanwhile, the team represented Zhejiang Guxiandao Co., Ltd., Oriental Industries (Suzhou) Ltd., and their respective affiliate in responding and defending the anti-dumping case.

After a year’s efforts, on May 24, 2018, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India announced its final findings on the case that no anti-dumping duty would be imposed on Oriental Industries (Suzhou) Ltd. and its affiliate and that anti-dumping duty would be imposed on Guxiandao and its affiliate at the lowest industrial rate (other than 0%). In addition, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India excluded all six products involved in this case (representing 50% of the corresponding quantity exported to India) from the scope of investigation. These excluded product may be exported to India without anti-dumping duty.
